Student membership question

My son is 13, and (obviously) a student. But his school doesn't provide student IDs. He does have a Feinstein Junior Scholar card, I think, but that's about it. Can I sign him up as a student, or do I have to sign him up as an adult?

My standard answer for the California conventions is to ask them to bring in a report card or a class schedule.
