Hello everyone!

I am making a handout for people interested in the family-friendly side of Arisia. I'll be listing the events and programs that aren't already covered by Fast Track, as well as some dos and don't s.

I'm looking for any input from panelists/event hosts that would like me to include their item on the flyer. So far, I'll be listing the Geeky Play Dates, the Geeky Belly Dance, and Drum Circle.

What I am looking for are things parents/guardians can do with their kids. I'm not looking for things that little ones are dropped off at.

All suggestions welcome!

Hi everyone.

I'm considering giving my 10-year-old a bit more freedom of movement at the con this year than before. Can other parents tell me what arrangements they worked out for kids around the same age? Maybe staying in touch with walkie-talkies or cellphones (signal allowing), a buddy system with other kids, some combination of free-roaming and staying at Fast Track, etcetera? Historically she's always been happy to stay at Fast Track all day, but I have a feeling this year she'll want to venture out now and then.

Also, I see that there's no food allowed at Fast Track. If I were to pack a lunch for her, how would she go about eating it if she had a red ribbon and had to stay?

Fast Track, our con within a con for children ages 6-12, is hosting a
Lego Tournament this year. Bring your creativity!

The theme is the same as that for this year's Arisia: Mad Science.

There will be two different age brackets for the tournament: ages 6-8
and ages 9-12.

To participate, your child just needs to signup at con in Fast Track.
Slots will be available on a first come first serve basis.
