So... many... people...
Jan. 26th, 2005 12:50 pmI just wanted to say that, for me, this was the Best Arisia Ever.
I had a great time working as Security, as it was little different from the way I usually attend a con: walk around and hang out with as many people as possible, and see where the winds take me. However, as Security, I got to wear a nifty badge to go with it. (And get to know where all the good parties are...)
Despite losing my voice for various parts of the convention and needing to learn some ASL really quick, I had a great time meeting new people and spending time with old friends. I'm still working how exactly who I met and where, as I got very little sleep over the three nights, and being sick didn't help much. Except that I was somehow able to get to know people easier when I couldn't speak, compared to when I did have my voice...
Anyways, I want to thank all of the convention staff, especially everyone who was in charge of the food. I made it a point to hit the con suite and satff den every time I passed by, and I was never disappointed. I only had to buy dinner once, and that was because I wanted to spend time with some friends.
Volunteering is great for the budget.
