Alright, Arisia attendees! We are going to be hosting a couple of chill, swanky Tea & Absinthe Lounges this weekend. If you are interested in joining us, stop by our booth (61-63) in the Dealers Room for more info. See you there!

Do any of you Boston natives have suggestions for ways to spend some time between now and Friday afternoon, and after the end of con on Monday? I'm up for anything geeky, particular board gaming and engineering/technology stuff, and open to kinky events.
We're driving up to Arisia on Friday morning from Queens, and we're looking for a 4th passenger to help mitigate costs. Anyone in the area looking for a ride to the convention?
Also, we're looking for more people for our room in the convention hotel. Interested?
One concert was just not enough for two bands, so I'm happy to announce that SASSAFRASS and STRANGER WAYS will be performing twice at Arisia!
Our main concert is Saturday night from 8-10pm, where we'll perform alternating sets. Stranger Ways will be including songs from their new album "Guilt, Angst & Fairy Tales" and Sassafrass's performance will include the two latest--and new to Arisia--songs from the upcoming "Sundown" album.
Then, on Sunday evening from 6-7pm, the bands will perform a less structured "encore" concert consisting of highlights from Saturday and other favorites we couldn't previously sneak in.
We hope you can make it!
Sassafrass (sassafrassmusic.com) is a Pegasus Award-nominated a cappella filk group who perform original pieces with complex vocal harmonies.
Stranger Ways (stranger-ways.com) is a dark modern folk band that plays traditional and original music with heavy harmonies and a macabre sense of humor. See you there!
I am looking for some in-hotel room (at the Westin) childcare for my 16-month-old on Fri and/or Sat night.
Basically, I'm just looking for someone to hang out in my hotel room for a few hours while my child is asleep (most likely). We will pay (more if you are willing to provide actual care if she wakes up, less if you just want to text us to come back - either arrangement is fine). Good opportunity for a teenager, or anyone looking to earn a little something on their downtime.
Email me at "imagine [at] alumni [dot] brandeis [dot] edu" if you are interested.
I haven't heard or seen anything brony-related happening around Arisia. I'd be shocked if I was the only one there. If you'd like to arrange a brony-meetup at the con, or if you know of an existing one, drop me a line.
