Some folks had suggested that Arisia have a Cosplay lounge (Cosplay hospital). Dragon con this years has one. Details in the Dragon con newsletter. Anyone at Dragon con to see it first hand?
At furry conventions, they have a room like this just for people to sit down and adjust their costumes (or take off parts of them to cool down). Less repair and more just a break from everything, which is nice for the people who don't have a room to go to.
Having a hybrid of that plus repair might be really nice.
Costume Con does more of a repair room, complete with sewing machines, glue guns, electrical tape/wiring, and just about anything else you can think of. At CC, though, they're a bit more tolerant of finishing up costumes if you need to (for the masquerade competitions), so people are welcome to come in and just do costume work. The big thing is to not hog resources, so if you are using $20 worth of glue sticks or something, it's a good idea to tip the people running the room so they can use that money to restock supplies.
