The Heinlein Society and Arisia are once again running the Blood Drive; last year we raised 120 pints of much-needed blood. Look for the table in the lobby next to the Info Desk or watch for our folks out with clipboards.

Note that 16 year-olds CAN donate by getting a form filled out by their parents.

Will they be equipped for any alternate donations, such as double red cells, platelets, etc?

I'm told by the Heinlein Society co-ordinator that the answer is, "Nope, whole blood only on these vehicles."

Whole blood only on site, but both institutions are close by if one chooses that route. I'm sure they'd welcome any and all! Note that most apheresis units in Boston, including the ARC Donor Center at 274 Tremont St., are pretty full on Saturdays, less so on Sundays. Phone numbers to make an appointment:
