Children's Service Update
Jan. 14th, 2013 03:17 pmI don't know about you all, but I cannot WAIT for Arisia! Me, my husband, and our THIRD GENERATION con-goers (how awesome/crazy is that?)!
Here are some helpful references going on around ALL of Arisia for the whole family to enjoy.
The 2013 Family Friendly Guide is now available online! You can download it with this link: http://2013.arisia.org/sites/2013.arisia.org/files/2013FamilyFriendly.pdf
Turtle Track/Babysitting: is SOLD OUT! We have filled all the slots for the 2-6 year olds' mini-con! If you'd like to be put on the waiting list (or cancel for any reason), please contact Registration (registration@arisia.org).
Once you register at Arisia, be sure to go to Ops for Babysitting location. For the security of our youngest fen, we only release the location to the parents/guardians of children registered for Turtle Track.
If you'd like to fill out the Turtle Track Registration form ahead of time, you can get it here: http://2013.arisia.org/sites/2013.arisia.org/files/2013_Arisia_Turtle_Track_Registration_Form.pdf
Fast Track: Our "con-within-a-con" is waiting for our 6-12 year old fans with some GREAT programming! Kamikaze Costuming, Storytelling...and a NERF WAR!
If you'd like to fill out Fast Track's Parent Release Form ahead of time, you can get it here: http://2013.arisia.org/sites/2013.arisia.org/files/2013_FastTrack_ConsentForm.pdf
On Sunday, there will be a MyChip Child Identification event in Fast Track. Information for that can be found here http://www.mychip.org/. We have made the permission card available online to bring with you to Arisia: 2013.arisia.org/sites/2013.arisia.org/files/CHIP_Permission_Card.pdf
Finally, this year we have the Family Friendly Forums on the Forums @ Arisia.org: http://forums.arisia.org/viewforum.php?f=26 . You will need to create a login for these forums, but once you do, you can share your experience of con-going with kids, or get advice for your first time with children.
There is also a board called "Babysitting Share." This is NOT for the Arisia-sponsored Turtle Track. This is a space for people looking for babysitting services at con (parties, anyone?), or a teen looking to make a few extra bucks while their parents are hitting the parties.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at Arisia!
