You know, much as I hate spammers and the recent spam entries here, I rather like the comments on those entries. Is that wierd? Would it be possible to delete the text of those entries without killing the comments, too?

Someone (forgive me, I didn't record who) made a comment in the most recent spam thread that I thought was interesting, so I replied to it:

Why is "polyamory" listed as an Arisia interest, anyway? I thought Arisia was a sci fi convention, no?

I don't know who created the Arisia community or its interests, but including polyamory among them isn't a reach. There have been a LOT of polyamory panels at the con over the years - I think they've got their own track.

Never been to one of those panels myself, though. Monoamory is about as much as I can cope with.

Similarly, dealers at Arisia have an awful lot of leather and bondage gear for sale for a "Sci-Fi" convention. But they wouldn't bother bringing it if it didn't sell.
