The question is, if you ate there and charged to your room, did their thievery extend to scooping ccard info from the hotel too?

This related article says the problem happened in April 2009 and lasted for eight months, which means it ended long before Arisia 2011 (and also before Boskone '10 or Boskone '11)

In 2009, Arisia was still at the Hyatt hotel so Arisians have nothing to worry about.
