Hi, everyone! TOMORROW, Monday October 11, 2010 (Columbus Day), Sassafrass and Heather Dale will be performing a joint house concert in the immediate Boston area!
Sassafrass is a Boston-based (and now country-wide) a capella filk group, currently working on a Norse mythology theme album. http://www.adapalmer.com/sassafrass/
Heather Dale is a Toronto-based Celtic/filk singer who was Special Musical Guest at Arisia '06. She currently tours with fellow multi-instrumentalist Ben Deschamps. http://www.heatherdale.com
Both acts are up for Pegasus Awards this year!
The concert will be at 393 Belmont St, Belmont, MA. The house is directly on the 73 bus line out of Harvard Square (between the Payson Rd and Oakley Rd stops.) There is no-fee street parking. There will be a suggested donation of $10 to cover concert expenses. Sassafrass will go on at 4pm and sing for 30-45 minutes, then pass the torch to Heather and Ben, who will perform for at least an hour.
We apologize for the late notice, but we threw this concert together last-minute due to Heather and Ben being in town for StrowlerCon. We hope some of you are able to make it!
