Thank you everyone!
Jan. 24th, 2005 04:33 pmArisia this year was wonderful! I met so many more people this Arisia than in previous Arisia's! I know there are at least a dozen people I met that I didn't get to exchange contact info with. If we chatted (or even if we didn't chat) feel free to let me know and we can keep in touch and hang out outside of the one long day.

Date: 2005-01-25 12:00 am (UTC)Yeah. Can see why carrying the Claymore around would've been a pain. I always have trouble finding a sword that works for my height (y'know; large swords are awkward for short people) because I'm like 5'2". lol Luckily, the saber worked.
But yeah, if you talk to Jake, you can tell him I said Hello.

Date: 2005-01-25 12:09 am (UTC)That's all I have to say about that. lol That thing would make me look like a midget. I feel like a hobbit. lol
I do remember your costume though. It made me happy. ^_^ I went to a Scottish Festival about a year and a half ago, and wore a kilt with a sporran (I know it's a big no-no for the ladies but I did it anyway). But yeah, great costume. ^_^

Date: 2005-01-25 12:16 am (UTC)I say blah on "no-no's". A kilt is a marvelous feat of clothing engineering and more people should experience it. I'd wear it more often if there were to be a law stating I could pummel a person with a claymore for calling it a dress or saying "Howdy Mam"

Date: 2005-01-25 12:53 am (UTC)I'm actually quite strawberry blonde. lol
I've worn my kilt a couple of times, cuz, well, I can do that and get away with it, right? lol But you should seek out more events to attend so that you can wear it. ^_^

Date: 2005-01-25 12:59 am (UTC)I probably will seek out more events. I really should get back into fencing.

Date: 2005-01-24 11:02 pm (UTC)Re: nope
Date: 2005-01-24 11:26 pm (UTC)Yeah most people didn't realize I was wearing a great kilt because I wasn't wearing it normal style most of the con as it was too hot and too hard to keep my badge visible. The "top part" was wrapped up behind me rather than over a shoulder.
Re: nope
Date: 2005-01-24 11:49 pm (UTC)Ok, now I feel bad. I usually try my darndest to recognize folks from one year to the next. Was there anychance that I was distracted by cleavage when you saw me? That always seems an excusable out. If not, my bad and I will try better next year.

hmmm maybe we can get all of security in kilts (I'm now working on a concept for a security t-shirt, red kilts would go very good with it)
