On behalf of the New England Garrison of the Fighting 501st, I'd like to thank all of you for making our first appearance at Arisia a productive and memorable one. Thanks to all of your efforts we were able to raise $500 for Katie http://www.heartofanempire.com/Katie/ . We couldn't have done it without all of you.

We are looking forward to coming back to Arisia next year. In preparation, since this was our first time officially attending the con as a group, what did you think of us? What would you like to see in the future? Were you adequately harassed and ticketed?

Thanks again! To see photos members of our group took check out our website at http://www.501neg.com/photos/thumbnails.php?album=213 . Also, check there to see where we'll be in the future, because with Episode III coming soon it will be a busy year for the NEG. We're always looking for the few, the strong, the expendable to join our ranks!

You guys were WONDERFUL!

The amplified stormtrooper outfits were SPLENDID--points for style, points for versimilitude, and points for attitude.

I got a ticket for bad pun! Glad they didn't throw me in the slave pit!

Good point....hey, guys, if I try to cop a not guilty plea, will you throw me in the slave pit?

lol I avoided you all day so that I wouldn't get ticketed, and then when I wasn't paying attention, BANG.

As for feedback...I'm not sure I really have any. That's my first time seeing people dressed up like storm troopers, period, because it was my first sci-fi con... but I thought you guys were awesome! (Despite the fact that I became illusive for a while... :: shifts eyes. :: ).

your outfit was AMAZING !!!!!
Great workmanship on it... it was great to meet you... sorry I was working the table the two times I got to see you... Perhaps for a different con this year ??? Glad to see on your site that you had a blast at your first con....

Just tell me where the con's at, and count me in. ^_~ Seeing as how I braved going on the T by myself (and switching lines twice for that matter) and racing the snowstorm home, I think I'm pretty much capable of almost... anything really. lol

Thank you for your compliment. :-)

I'm seriously thinking of making a Padme Amidala outfit at this rate... just so that I can go to sci-fi cons and feel weird for walking around in Romanian-warrior-princess-based-attire. o_O That was interesting... but I love my costume and I spent loads of work on it so it was worth it anyway.

But yes, great seeing you too, and perhaps another con this year. ^_^ I'm new to the con scene... so you might have to tell me where they are, etc. But I'm all for it really. ^_^

And I'm getting long-winded...

Yep, I'm familiar with Padawan's guide. I know Maggie (the girl that runs it) from the LotR costuming group (which is where I actually spent most of my costuming time for about three years...lol).

Those are two of the outfits I was investigating, but, provided that I can adequately track down the correct flocked velvet, I may be tackling her Senate gown from Episode II. It's very very very tempting... And I'm sure it's a down-right pain in the butt too. X)

lol I just found the velvet so I won't need to be doing any pressing. I will however need to dye. EEP. Never dyed fabric before. I usually always get lucky. <_< But I've heard that there have been some astoundingly awesome costumes at DragonCon. Someday, maybe I'll get there. lol I'd love to see pics of your Padme costumes, if you have them. ^_^ :: is such a costume junkie :: ~JJ.

Oh so much fun. *-* People in costumes make me happy.

I love your Padme costumes. I think you did a splendid job. ^_^

The Picnic gown! Wow. I was looking at the corset for that and I was just astounded by the detail. I really want to go to another con now... lol

I was hiding out in staff support areas almost the entire con, and barely got out into the open ever, and had virtually no interaction with any of y'all. Just occasionally saw y'all as I walked from place to place.

And, even so, just the fact that there were stormtroopers walking around -- and lots of different kinds of stormtroopers, too -- was SO FREAKIN' COOL!!! I mean, DAMN those were awesome costumes.

Come back, Imperial Fascistic Scum!
