Registration?

Does anyone know how late Registration and Programming will be open tonight? I'm pretty sick, so I'm being driven to the hotel later than I expected - should be there sometime around 7-7:30PM. My first panel is at 9PM tonight, and I'd hate to miss it because I couldn't check in.

Why would I catch the first cold of the year just in time for Arisia? WHY??

One might ask why you're still coming to the con, if you're so sick you need to be driven? The healthy among us aren't thrilled with deliberate exposure to illness. It strikes me as somewhat selfish.

Agreed-- if you're so ill that you need help for transportation, it should be a clue that you're too ill to attend. Please don't expose everyone else to your illness. Stay home, rest up, and come next year. :)

As I said during a panel "I will infect everyone in this room before I give up Arisia." Got a good laugh from the audience, too.

I was in pain before I took some medication, but I was NOT sneezing or coughing. I washed my hands frequently, didn't shake anyone's hand or touch anyone, and carried hand sanitizer with me at all times (and tissues, although I didn't need them).

At least ten percent of everyone at the con was dealing with the same head cold that I had, and doing so a lot less effectively. Actually, from all the coughing and sneezing I heard I'd bet that more like 50% of the con has that head cold.

Saline lavage + vitamin C drops + Tylenol Sinus work wonders. Although the saline burns like hell, and I hear that most people don't have sufficient control to successfully lavage.
