We are sorry to announce that the WETA FX people will not be appearing at Arisia after all. (They suddenly informed us that they want a rather large appearance fee, and we don't have the budget for it.) We hope to announce a new AGOH very soon. Stay tuned for further updates!

Both my partner and I have been to Arisia several times and neither of us understood this post. What is an AGOH? What is WETA FX?

Sorry for the shorthand! AGOH = Artist Guest of Honor. WETA FX, who were supposed to be the AGOH this year, are the people who did the special effects for the Lord of the Rings movies. But if you didn't recognize it, then hopefully you won't be disappointed. :-)
