Back in June, I proposed a "Geeky Playdate" Panel/Event for this year. I got a "thanks for the suggestion" from Proposals, but neither a "Yay" or "Nay." about it. So, before I pushed it, I wanted to see if this was something other parents/caregivers would be interested in.

I see it as a one- or two-hour block for parents to hang out together and chat in a space appropriate for their kids to be with them and they can play and mingle.

At Arisia 2011, I'll have a child too young for babysitting and fast track (18 months), but I'd still like to socialize and meet other geeky parents. It would be a "bring your own toys, and mind your own children," type of thing.

Event
Naked Girls Reading (Science Fiction!)

General info
start date: Saturday, September 18, 2010 11:59 PM
end date: Sunday, September 19, 2010 02:00 AM
where: Coolidge Corner Theatre
address: Boston MA (Brookline)

dress code: We'll be naked. You can wear what you like.

The next Naked Girls Reading is Saturday, Sept. 18 at midnight at The Coolidge Corner Theater. The title is "Science Friction", and the theme is classic SF -- we'll be reading Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein", Ray Bradbury's "Fahrenheit 451", some Stanislaw Lem (in translation! :) and other golden oldies.

All read aloud to you by naked girls (I'll be one of them, in the glitter) onstage. Not your fetish? Come for the literature. Stay for the library-sexy glasses, the erudition, and of course the tits :)
