We just received word that the Sky Pirates of Valendor Release Event being held this weekend at Arisia is officially being sponsored by the Rhode Island Science Fiction Club!

During the event we will be showing the footage from Everett's recent appearance on their monthly Sci Fi Journal.

If you are a member of the club, we invite you to come to the event running this Saturday from 1 to 4pm in Room 305! If you live in Rhode Island and would like to join the club, you'll be able to sign up at the Release Event.

Thank you to everyone at the Rhode Island Science Fiction Club for their support of our latest book release!

BRING RUM I'M GOING TO NEED IT!

Their reply was:
Hmmmm ... I have to read all the way to the second to last sentance to find out that this is about a new *book*. Something that should have been mentioned either in the title or earlier in the message.

Mentioning just the title does not work for those of us who don't know the project.

You do have a very valid point there.

To help clear this up, I am a writer and creator of a comic called Sky Pirates of valendor. On Sat. I am throwing a release party for our collected trade paper of our first five issues. It's in room 305 from 1-4

My fantasy and science fiction bookclub back in DC is discussing Havemercy this coming week. I haven't had time to read it yet, but I had a great plan: bring it along to Arisia and read it there.

Unfortunately, here I am in Cambridge. . .and the book is still sitting on my desk in DC. I need to have it finished by Tuesday evening, and I won't get home until after midnight on Monday. Does anyone happen to have a copy with them at the Con that I might borrow for a night or two? I promise to treat it really, really nicely.

Thanks to LJ user selkiechick who had the idea to load the Arisia docs in .doc format--including the program, the restaurant guide, and souvenir book-- onto a thumbdrive. If you would like these docs to load onto your assistive tech device, the thumbdrive will be available at the Info Desk.
