I figured that since Arisia was almost upon us, you all might enjoy the "bumpers" from Dragon*Con TV 2005. Adult Swim fans might recognize the style... mainly because they were done by some of the guys from Adult Swim.

Some of them provide vital advice for congoers, such as Food Pyramid and Exercise, some are just good ideas, like Bar of Soap and Making Friends Part One and Part Two, and some are just hilarious, like Text Adventure and Rainbow Connection.

Rainbow Connection is just my favorite, anyways. It asks a very important question, you see.

"I'VE heard them! CALLING MY NAME!"

Watch the bumpers.

Enjoy them.

They may just prove useful...

Does anyone know if we can park at the Boston Common garage from Friday to Sunday without moving the car? I am wondering if there is 24 hour parking. I was planning on parking at Alewife where I know they have a free lot but downtown is a bit more convenient as the free lot is a good walk from the station. Also if I do leave the car, will the rate be 5$ over 3 days? I have never had to worry about where to stick my car for any previous cons. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Last year, for Arisia, I left getting a room too late and ended up rooming with the friend of a friend. (Thanks <lj user="AsciiKitty" /> for the hookup!)

So this year I figure its my turn.  If you or someone you know is looking for a last-minute room, I have a King HC-Accessible (375 sq foot) room with just me in it currently.  The room is not in the con-block, so its a bit pricy, but I'm flexible and would be up for someone putting in less than an equal share. (I'm happier paying anything less than 100% of the room)

The floor or a cot if you can get one is open, and if both you and I are comfortable with it, I have no issue with sharing the bed. I also have a small bedroll you can borrow if you take the floor

Drop me a line for more info.

ok, I have checked into the hotel and ready for my first Arisia.

I am now waiting for my friends [livejournal.com profile] badgerthorazine and Jeremy to get here.

Hi. My sweetie and I are both blind, and are counting on the braille programs that you usually provide at Arisia. Will they be there this year? Will there be enough that we can both take one?

Also, we just tried to read the Restaurant Guide on the Arisia site. Instead of text that our screen reader could handle, we got gibberish. Is there a text version of this document somewhere? We're locals, so we know a lot of the restaurants in the area, but we'd still like to have this info.

The gluten-free milk-free old-fashioned cinnamon cookies are done. I used the Gluten-Free Pantry's mix, adding eggs, gluten-free vanilla, palm oil shortening, and soy margarine to make the batter, and rolling them in cinnamon and light-brown sugar. They came out wonderfully light and airy. I wonder how they'll taste when they've finished cooling. I'll just have to try another one when they're cooler. ;-)

Next up: Gluten-free milk-free chocolate chip mini-muffins (in between laundry loads)

Tomorrow: Gluten-free milk-free apple-cinnamon quickbread, if I have time.
