Star Wars at Arisia?

This will be my second Arisia! Yay! Last year I was mostly holed up in one of the rooms helping a friend prepare for the costume contest-- this year I hope to have much more time for prowling about.

Since I am new, I really have no idea what groups are planning what. I'd like to know more about the Star Wras fandom presence. Details anyone? If there are enough SW geeks to roam with, I may have to dye my hair red and wear that black latex outfit. :-)

The Regency Dance is canceled

I regret to announce that the Phantom of the Opera Regency Dance is canceled; space and time in the Imperial Ballroom couldn't be scheduled that would do this event justice so the decision was made to cancel it. I want to thank the organisers for past dances and for offering this year; I hope it will return in the future!

As they say, we regret any inconvenience. We really did try to fit this one in.

I am looking to get to Arisia, and hoping to maybe not go all the way down to NYC to then go all the way up to Boston.

I'm in Toronto, and I'm looking for a ride from any of the cities along the Maple Leaf VIA/Amtrak line. You can see that list here.

I will share gas, of course, and bring you cookies and fudge. I can't drive because of medical issues. I'm almost entirely flexible on the scheduling, but I'm on a panel on Friday at 8, and on Sunday at 1, so I need to get there by 7ish Friday, and can't leave before 2 on Sunday. I work at home and control my own hours, though, so I'm pretty flexible on when I can leave; a day or two ahead or after is fine for me, and I can find my own crash space.
