For some people volunteering takes place during the con only and for others it is a year-long commitment. Each person gives and does to their limit and I sincerely applaud all of the long range planning folks who are so much less selfish with their time than I am with mine. The thing we all need to remember is that as volunteers no one has to do any of this. Anyone volunteering is freely doing something in an attempt to make other people’s con experience better in some way whether those people are general con attendees or fellow staff. They don’t need medals, but they do need the courtesy and respect that anyone else would expect when doing someone a favor. We're all in this together.
