Oh, I don't think there's anything at all wrong about having "family friendly elements" at Arisia. I encourage it. However, in the last three or four years, I've heard random people grumbling about "those damn kinky people, why don't they get a con of their own, I've got kids!" while passing through the halls or browsing in a dealers room. And it wasn't in reguards to anyone behaving or dressing inappropriately at the time it was said.
I think there definitely needs to be a balance between the two, and for the most part, I think the balance has been fairly well maintained, but it's something you have to keep at, certainly.
