The STAR WARS VS STAR TREK DEBATE panel was *great*. The room was chock full of folks (I'm sure the "people counters" can confirm this ... I saw you guys counting how many folks attended each panel) but the panel members made the event. Two on each side with the moderator in the middle.

Funny, irreverent, serious, tongue in cheek, witty .. and of course there was no "winner" because there couldn't be ... and at the very end folks switched sides.

I shot the event on video .. and will put that up on-line eventually .. but I will put a mp3 out within a few days so the folks who coudn't be there can enjoy the repartee. I will let you know when it is ready for download.

AND the second half of my post....

Last year there was a special section of the website for comments and questions regarding each panel or at least each track.  It didn't seem to be all that popular (maybe not enough folks knew about it).  Is something like that going to happen again this year?

As one of the panelists (see the icon for my photo), thank you for the kind words! It was a lot of fun doing the panel, as well!

I hope that I get to come back next year, because I had a blast!

This panel was one of a few experiments running this year, and it was highly successful. There is a good chance that with the success this year, we may see more such debates in the future. Of course, I'm not in charge next year, but I suspect that there will be some love for the debates.
