I read somewhere while at Arisia last weekend that J. D. "Illiad" Frazer of User Friendly fame was at the con. I am not sure if he spoke at a panel, did a signing or was just wandering about.

I went back through my pocket program and the big program that I didn't even get to read until Monday but could not find the blurb I had originally read.

Does anyone know if this rumor is true or not?

No, Illiad wasn't at Arisia. He _was_ kind enough to write the Appreciation of Special Freedom Guests Eric and Cathy Raymond for me, since Eric and Illiad have been friends for years.

The fact that he did the writeup on Eric in the Souvenir Book is probably where you got the notion he was at the con. I wish he had been there. I'd happily have bought him several rounds of whatever he drinks as a thank you for his efforts.
