Tea party - 2:00 PM Sunday in the Con Suite

Numerous people have been asking if there is going to be a tea party this year. The answer is yes, of course! Feel free to come and share some tea. I'll be bringing a selection of fine teas, tea making gear and some quantity of ceramic tea cups. At least two other people have mentioned they will be bringing foodstuffs. Extra tea cups would be helpful if others can bring them and other snacks are always welcome. Feel free to just come by and enjoy some company and good tea.

My focus is to do a tasting of fine teas. To that end I am bringing a selection of fine teas for people to sample, if there is time to get to them all. Here is a list of what I'm bringing, feel free to bring your favorite to share as well:

Well, then, I have some samples from Upton Tea (http://www.uptontea.com/shopcart/home.asp?UTid=501-10-1762540&afterCart=/shopcart/home.asp&) that I'll try to bring to the con to share. I'd love to find some new tasty teas. Should I bring a strainer ball or will disposable bags be there?

I'm planning on making pots of tea but bringing some individual strainers is a good idea. I have a couple of mug strainers I can bring and a box of disposable bags. At least I think I have some bags left, I have not been using them recently.

It would have been nice to chat. It was a mobbed con suite so that would not have really been possible though, it needs a quieter space. I will be doing these occasionally local to me and perhaps I'll make it back to NYC some time and do one there. rosefox tried to talk me into doing it at Lunacon at one point but I have not gone to Lunacon in ages. I do like doing my part to spread the gospel of fine tea. *grin*
