Registration is nearing membership cap!

This is just a note reminding the fen populace at large that this year's Arisia has a membership cap. As of January 7th, we are nearing that cap (we're at 90% as of 11 pm), and it looks likely that we will sell out by close of registration on Friday, if not sooner.

If you are planning on attending Arisia, we strongly urge you to pre-register to guarantee your membership.

However, for folks purchasing membership at the convention, please understand that once we hit our membership cap, we cannot sell new memberships. That means if we hit the cap on Friday, no day passes or weekend passes can be sold on Saturday.

Didn't get in before the cap? Don't panic! Attendance on Sunday is generally lower than the other days; we will re-open registration for day passes on Sunday morning at 9:30.

Registration will be updating the Arisia website with information on the membership cap as we get closer, including while we're at the event.

*ponders* So, if my bf's flight is coming in on Sunday morning, can I safely tell him to just buy his day membership when he arrives, or should I just go ahead and buy him a membership now?

You should be fine to buy his membership on Sunday morning. I'd recommend that you come down to reg when it opens though, to be sure (9:30).

So, if someone requests a rollover of their membership pre-con, does that space 'open up' in the membership cap (ie-is the cap the on-site tally or the sold tally)?

A rollover pre-con would indeed open up a membership to be sold for this year's con.
