We will have one fine con suite at Arisia this year, open 24 hours, with lots of great food, but we need your help. Volunteers pre- and at-con are highly desired, as the menu I am planning will be the sorts of things you might find at a well-stocked party... cheese, crackers, veggies and dips, meatballs, deviled eggs... hot hors d'oeuvres, chocolate mandala, theme hours, hot drinks as well as cold... juice as well as soda... and, of course, chips (in moderation).

Please let me know what hours you are willing to work, as I'd like to put together a schedule before Friday the 13th (please) as I am also running Fast Track/aka Kid's Programming (!) [Yes, I am slightly crazy], but I have an able assistant, Kathleen, to do the at-con management... E-mail adresses and/or cell numbers would be great.

One of the plans was to have freshly baked cookies, but alas, there is no oven in the Garden Suite. So, I am looking for people to bake cookies and general baked goods to bring to the con. All such items need to be accompanied by an ingredient card, as there are people with allergies and intolerance's, and we need to consider all attendees. Please reply here, or send me an e-mail so we don't have a plethora of one kind and a dearth of another... :-)

Edit: 12.27.05 11:23 PM Breakfast items that are baked need to not be primarily egg based... Food Safety rules supreme in this year's con suite.

While I'm all about nummy food, this seems like it would raise some food safety concerns, especially with egg foods.

We use Egg Beaters, which are pasteurized. Safe, even raw.

Yeah, baked stuff should be fine (though frosting with eggs can be bad)-- I was concerned more about the deviled eggs. Which are nummy, but... :)

Ooo, yes, I would find that reassuring. Though you're probably also right that they'll go pretty quickly. *G* Mmm, now I'm craving...

Just curious, will the same standards apply to the Green Room, too?

The meatballs they've had there for the past 4-5 years probably saved my life...particularly last year, during the blizzard. :D

(smack self on forehead) Of course different people run the Green Room!

Sorry, I'm not thinking well today.
