When you have a column named "Planet Claire," buying into all the "me me me" marketing and self-indulgent mind-masturbation, what do you expect but a puerile attitude towards people in her out-group?
If it were her hip and cool friends who read gossip magazines singing karaoke, she'd think it was the hottest thing ever.
That is beyond despicable. I can't imagine why they would publish something so mean-spirited, but I hope her boyfriend dumps her. I certainly wouldn't want to date someone who considers making fun of people to be the highlight of their weekend.
