Hotel stairs

Arisia probably already asked the hotel about this and got an answer, but does anyone here know why the hotel's stairs have doors that don't let you back in, so they mostly cannot be used to get from floor to floor inside the hotel, forcing us to overuse the elevators? It's both inconvenient and wasteful of energy, so why is it set up this way? Can it be changed? Does the hotel not want to change it?

Streaming video and LOST GLOVE

Hi Arisia peeps! Two items:

The wifi was incredibly fast (15mbps up/down) all weekend, and I requested and received permission to record from all panelists. According to my metrics, these recordings increased average panel attendance by 11, with more than 150 unique viewers checking in throughout the weekend!

This is exciting to me, and I'll be sure to ask about doing this again. Obviously we don't want to put a large portion of the con live on the web, but I think it'd be cool to have a 'live track' of panels that streams continuously throughout the weekend. Food for thought!

Second thing: My Arisia is done and I'm home, and I've discovered that I lost a glove. Black leather driving glove, right hand, Gates brand XL, light brown interior. This loss isn't world-shaking, but it'd be nice to get it back instead of dropping the $ on a new pair.

Arisia was a lot of fun. I'll be sure to participate next year!
