"Arisia Reads" 5 Books Enter, One Leaves?

I've missed this Arisia panel (Arisia Reads!) every year, and I always want to know:
What were the five books this year?! And which one "won"?!
If someone knows the five books from this year, last year, or any year, I would really love to know them. Maybe there's a list somewhere online for each year?

cosDid anyone get any photos or videos from Arisia's (first-ever AFAIK) contra dance on Friday in Harbor? I intended to but completely forgot about it that day and didn't realize I'd forgotten about it 'til the next day. Oops.

Carl Brandon awards given at Arisia 2011
Jan. 20th, 2011 11:54 pmroozle.livejournal.comAs announced on this LJ and other places, the Carl Brandon Awards for 2008 and 2009 were awarded. It was a highlight of the convention for me to hear from, and when lucky, meet in person, these talented winners.

Liar by Justine Larbalestier
Distances by Vandana Singh
"Ghost Summer" by Tananarive Due
I became excited about reading them. Below, you can read the jury statements about the winners, which were read at the awards ceremony. I hope they will introduce people who were unable to be there to these fascinating books.
