Pi-Con Is a Science Fiction, Fantasy, Gaming and general "Geek Interest" convention out in the Pioneer Valley region of New England the weekend of August 20th-22nd. A lot of our panelists and staff overlap with Arisia, and It's a fun time that includes Panels, Performances, Dealers, Board Games, LARPs, Video Games, a Consuite, Parties, Math Jokes, and More! Our Guest of Honor this year include Author Robert J. Sawyer, Webcomic Creator Rob Balder, Musician Tom Smith, and the Awesome Hugh Casey. Pi-Con has often been described as a smaller, more relaxed, just as awesome version of Arisia.

The preliminary programming schedule is up on our website for review, and will include such topics as How to Govern Interplanetary States, I've Got a Webcomic. Now what?, Costuming on a Budget, Beyond Physics: The Many Sciences of Science Fiction, Werewolves and Vampires as Both Lovers and Predators, and, of course, Welcome to Pi-Con.

We also have pre-convention LARP Signups going on.

Pre-Registration for a convention membership is just $40 ($30 for Students), and can be accomplished in just minutes online. Our hotel room-block features a $99 a night room rate and closes this Friday August 6th. Reservations can be made by calling 860-741-2211, and make sure to mention you're with Pi-Con as the hotel is sold out except for our block.

Feel free to ask any questions you may have here, and check out our own LiveJournal community, [livejournal.com profile] pi_con, our website Pi-Con.org and the links to other social media outlets.
