The New England Fan Experience is a volunteer-run not-for-profit convention which is geared towards public interest in learning more about media and popular culture.  Panels, seminars, workshops and discussions offer a well rounded learning experience.  The 2009 event takes place November 13 through 15 at the Courtyard by Marriott-Tremont, in the heart of Boston's theater district. 

The theme for this year’s convention is "Making the Movie" and will, among other things, present panels from local Screen Actor Guild members, hobbyist directors, local writers and other artists who can share their knowledge about media creation in New England.  In addition, we welcome our headliner guest Leonard Nimoy, a Boston-native.  Other local guests include local writers Wen Spencer and Scott Pomfret, and artist Bettina Kurkoski.  Additional celebrity guests, from a multitude of genre appearances, are Gareth David-Lloyd, John De Lancie, James Hong, Corin Nemec, Sonny Strait and Aaron Dismuke. 

There is still space in the Art Show (free to display, percentage of sale back to convention) and Artists Alley (located in Dealers Room).  So, please contact our artists@nefanx.com coordinator, Amy, if you're interested.
