a warning against Dominos

So we decided to order from Dominos, and it was such a bad experience I thought I should warn everyone else against it.

They have a special going, which was part of the reason we called, but they decided not to give it to us. Instead they charged us almost twice what they should have. When we called them they were incredibly rude, and when I asked to speak to a manager I was told she would call me back. I had to call them back three times before they finally told me the manager wasn't going to call- in fact, they didn't even tell her about it, but they would "leave her a note".

I hope this post doesn't make me look all "grr", because Arisia has been fantastic so far, but I figure the rest of you should know not to give them your business.

Arisia Surprise Ministory Writing Challenge

At 6pm this evening, I, along with Michael McAfee, Melissa Scott, Suzanne Palmer, Clayton McNally, and Shira Lipkin (shadesong), did the "Surprise Ministory Writing Challenge." Several folks in the audience shouted out various and sundry story notions -- strip Scrabble, temporal jeopardy, and tempura -- but in the end the only story elements that were required were "a factory" and "sports." We then each had 15 minutes to write said story.

Fifteen minutes later, this is what I came up with. You have been warned....

In my chatting with people here at the con, I have found out that lots of you good folks love Emperor Norton!
I have written a short story based on him!
