This weekend, after more than a year of planning, our little con had finally arrived. And Pi-Con '06 was nothing short of a phenomenal success.

Total con membership was over 300. We experienced no major problems or screw-ups, and the ones we did have handled quickly and easily.

Jacqueline Carey and Voltaire, our GoH and Musical GoH, were excellent guests, and one of them has already told us to plan to have them again next year!

We got near-universal praise from the con members, whether they were at their first con, veterans going way back, or SMOFs, both during the con and at the Dead Frog session afterward.

The hotel was a dream to work with, and loved having us as much as we loved being there. I couldn't possibly praise the staff of the Best Western in West Springfield enough. Anything we needed or wanted, someone was right there to help, genuine smiles on their faces, and they made my job as hotel liaison ridiculously simple.

More praise than can possibly be adequate must be heaped upon Aimee, Kat, Jeff, Sara, Lucky, Cassie, Devon, Rob, Lisa, Michael, Erin, all or our fantastic panelists, gamemasters, gophers and dealers.

Thank you so much to all the con members that took a chance on going to a first time con. We won't let you down next year!

Special thanks to the emissary of Arisia (he knows who he is!) who gifted us with the lemons on our first day. At our con party in January, we'll be featuring lemon pie in his honor!

We weren't perfect, but it was a hell of a first con, and it couldn't possibly have gone any better. Now please excuse me while I go collapse into a joyful heap!
