Question about Art Participation

I didn't get to the art show this year, but in the past it has been a lot of mixes art, not just paintings/drawings. Specifically some knit scarfs? In work last month we has an art & hobby show where everyone showcased there specific talents or hobbies. Everyone was really amazed at my entry. Then I thought, hmmmm, maybe I could show it at Arisia. It's a mix between crocheting & quilting. I was wondering if something like this would be worthy & if so how does one go about entering?
