New England Fan Experience Volunteer Sign-up is open!

The Volunteer details and sign-up page is now open at the New England Fan
Experience website [www.nefanx.com]. If you'd like to work for the convention,
and potentially earn your 2010 membership, then take a look at all the
interesting jobs that we need to have filled.

You do have to pay for your membership this year [$45], but if you work only 12
hours at the convention you have paid-it-forward and get a really nice
Volunteers ONLY T-shirt to commemorate your experience and you earn a free 2010
convention membership.

Spring Anime Kaiju Experience, April 11, Boston

There's a nice way to celebrate SPRING coming to the Courtyard Marriott on Tremont Street in Boston. April 11 the non-profit UFC will host Spring Anime Kaiju Experience from Noon to Midnight. There will be many things for anime fans to enjoy, including Panels like: Do you Otaku? and Creative Japanese Cooking. And an anime screening room presented by FUNimation. Also a Manga Lounge and library with so much manga you'll be stuck there all day, including an entire yaoi closet. Then the fun continues with Cosplay Checkers, yes, checkers! Imagine what being "kinged" looks like in Cosplay Checkers? In the evening there is a Sakura Dance from 8pm to Midnight, and a hosted Sake Tasting for the more adult members begins at 9pm. BLEACH movie in theaters June 11-12

We somehow managed to obtain many (40!!) free tickets to the BLEACH anime movie, which will be in select theaters this coming Wednesday and Thursday, June 11-12. If you'd like to be entered into the free drawing for these tickets please register at www.animekaijuexperience.com before Monday evening. We'll mail you your tickets by overnight delivery on Monday!

The theaters where Bleach is playing are in Manchester, CT, Warwick, RI, and in Massachusetts: West Springfield, Randolph, Randolph, Lowell, Framingham, Revere, Millbury, and Marlborough. We'll select the winners based on where they live, so you won't have to drive a long way to get to the movie. This also gives you better odds of winning.

Anime Kaiju Experience is happy to support all the anime fans in New England.

RELAXACON May 30-June 1 Cape Cod PROGRAM INVITIATION

ARISIA's RELAXACON is:
          a relaxing way to enjoy the company of one another.

AN OPEN INVITATION:  make known your ideas for programs at Relaxacon 2008.

Send your ideas, suggestions, and comments by replying here, or by sending private email to relaxacon@arisia.org. If you make a suggestion, be prepared to back it up with your body, i.e. run the panel, host the game, bring your bike, your PS2 or 3, your DDR pads, etc.

Here are some of the suggestions we have already gathered:

Biking:  Group roll around the Cape of Cod
Hiking: Group stroll up the beach
Beach Blanket Bingo: we'll bring the Bingo you bring your beach blanket
BeyBlade Challenge: "Let 'ere rip!" Loads of silly fun battling each other with tops.
Rock'em-Sock'em Robots Challenge: A competition for the strong of thumb!
Dance Dance Revolution: Just for fun, a dancing good time.
Discussion Groups: You pose the question, deep thought will commence... or not.
Board Games my mom played with me: Parchisi, Chinese Checkers, more...
SMOF: what or who is a Secret Master of Fandom?
Video Games my kids will probably think I'm a Dweeb for liking come 2020
