An Interesting Discussion Regarding Arisia

An interesting discussion between an Arisia newcomer / observer & someone who dismisses f&sf fandom in total - Weigh In, Have Fun! http://bit.ly/8Wt2d6

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic here.

I'm not, I'm just going with what was officially listed on the programs.

I count over a dozen panels that would qualify as "alternative lifestyle" which is enough to make a track whether or not they were grouped as such.

Then that's something that should be dealt with by programming, but saying it's a track, when that has a fairly official use, doesn't make it a track.

I counted 10 more that were not directly poly, but were alternative relationship panels

I think Arisia (and rightly so) gives more focus/time to the panels that have high attendance, and from the panels I was at/stopped into it seemed that the lifestyle panels had some of the highest attendance, along with the yr in review for TV, review of Movies, the nostalgia movie trailers, and a few others.
