Contacting other panelists?

Does anyone know a good way to contact other panelists? That was a great feature over on Zambia a few years ago, I think, but we don't seem to be able to do that any more. I think panels could be much improved if the panelists had a chance to confer and prepare a bit in advance.

In Zambia, when a participant chooses a panel they're interested in there is a space suggested for writing comments and leaving contact information for the other panelists to contact them. Some people have left contact information and some have not.

I actually found one of my fellow panelists via Facebook. :) The other ones, I already knew.

(I did try emailing program@arisia.org, but got no response. But given that at least one dept head was going nuts over the schedule, they may have been a little busy.)

We don't have any panels together, but I did put my contact information in the comments section. I wonder if it is possible to add a field in zambia for contact information.

FWIW, you can email me at my LJ address (I believe we're both on the We Want it on DVD panel).

But yeah, the system two years ago (with emails sent to each group of panelists, thus allowing a quick reply to initiate a conversation) was the one that worked best for me, too.
