Arisia 2005 announces new dates: January 21-23, 2005
Due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict, the sixteenth annual Arisia convention will be shifting one week later than the usual Martin Luther King weekend, to January 21-23, 2005.
Those who have already purchased memberships and are unable to attend the convention may receive refunds, transfer to another individual, or carry the memberships over to 2006, at their option. Volunteers who have earned memberships and are unable to attend may carry them over to the 2006 or 2007 conventions.
Appearing at the convention will be Writer Guest of Honor Barbara Hambly, Artist Guest of Honor WETA FX, Fan Guest of Honor Victor Raymond, and Special Media Guest Harry Knowles. Also featured for your enjoyment will be a tremendous variety of things to do and see, including dances, dealers, art show, anime, films, filking, panels, readings, gaming, video, Masquerade, and more!
We will return to Martin Luther King weekend (and the Boston Park Plaza) for the seventeenth Arisia convention, January 13 through 15, 2006. Our current hotel room rates will continue through 2006.
For more information, go to www.arisia.org, e-mail info@arisia.org, or write to: Arisia, Bldg. 600, PMB 322, One Kendall Square, Cambridge, MA 02139.

I mean, uh --
I know I heard at least one vague rumbling about this earlier, but I've forgotten: What is the conflict? (If it's permitted to be publicly known.)

Err, return to the Boston Park Plaza? Isn't that where it is this year? Or has that also been changed?
