I have no idea. they had a room reserved for parties that I could have all weekend, and never said anything about the price. then again, if I'd had enough enthusiastic, if po', folks willing to run the show mostly without me, I'd've not minded finding out I was footing the room bill at the last minute. (Now, the weekend will be significantly cheaper for me, even with 2 taxis a day to get to and from the con.)
the responses were: (1) folks who would love to attend, but wouldn't really have time. (2) folks who have little to no experience with Arisia offering but not sure what they could do. (3) folks who were asked to help with other parties. (4) folks who frequent KoL-specific gatherings, but only one Arisia a year, that they're unenthusiastic about prioritizing KoL that weekend.
