I don't think there was any objection to a Filk GOH, there just weren't any available.
Most filkers along the eastern seaboard went to the GaFilk con the weekend before and did not feel up to doing cons 2 weekends in a row.
Many filkers along the west coast are going to the new Filk Con, Conflikt, in Seattle next weekend.
