I'm an artist too, so I feel your pain. :P Maybe I'm a little biased.
I feel discouraged to put art in the Arisia show because of the lack of respect I feel it gets there. I know other artists who feel that way as well.
It does need a revamp - I love the idea of the back to basics thing, maybe it can still be saved?
Hopefully you'll start getting the respect you deserve.
