Yes it's just frustrating.

Agreed, I am not only art show staff, but an artist as well.

I'm sure the art show would do much better if people didn't have to take the elevators to get to it. I know many people wont bother even seeing the art show if it's that much trouble. Thus the art show doesn't make money, thus the real professional artists stop exhibiting.
