Coming as he was from SoCal, it was his estimation that people took their very lives into their hands by merely venturing out onto the sidewalk in front of the hotel. "I mean, you could DIE out there!" The whole weekend, he couldn't wrap his head around how I got by wearing a kilt in that weather.
